Strollers in Motion A
Adult caregivers with child 6 weeks – Pre K

Strollers in Motion is a stroller-based workout for moms, dads or other caregivers. It’s an awesome way to get fit, meet new people and have fun with your little ones! And, after some classes, special activities will be planned for the children! All new participants will receive a water bottle. Strollers in Motion is led by Casie Boebinger.
Animal Grossology with Stemily

Have you ever pondered the weird behaviors of animals, like why hippos fling their poop or why vultures pee on their legs? Unearth the answers to these questions and many more. Be guided through the fascinating and sometimes cringe-worthy world of animals, where “grawesome” (gross but undeniably awesome) discoveries await!

These are self-guided walks around your community parks! Enjoy reduced stress, improved quality of sleep and the many benefits from an improved quality of life. It will be A Walk in the Park!

Trail Trekking Meet-Up
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays and Fridays, June 4 – August 30
Trekking with Nordic poles is a wonderful way to cross-train or try something new. Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks during this self-guided meet-up program! You must bring your own Nordic poles if you sign up for this option.

Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays and Fridays, June 4 – August 30
Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the spring. A limited number of rental poles are available.

Preschool Play Yard: Tuesdays

Tuesdays June 4 – 25
Children will enjoy songs, crafts, hikes and games. Each week will have a different theme. This station-based drop-off program is sponsored by the South Metro Optimist of Centerville Women’s Club.

Classic Archery Camp

This introductory archery camp will teach the basics of competition-style archery. Using technique, range safety and basic archery terms, campers will enjoy games and gain a new hobby to enjoy with friends. All equipment will be provided.

Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike is on a natural path. This is a Tools to Trek program. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Hike For Your Health
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, June 5 – August 28
Let’s get you moving outdoors this summer! Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Amazing Athletes at the Park A
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, June 5 – July 17
(No class July 3)
This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. Sign up for both sessions and receive an Amazing Athletes t-shirt! This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Fitness Yoga A
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, June 5 – July 17
(No class on July 3)
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.
