Do You Want To Paint a Butterfly?
All ages
Pick up plywood butterfly: Friday, December 1– Monday, December 11
Return finished butterfly: Friday, December 15 – Friday, December 22
Spot wants to be able to go on six butterfly surveys in the parks. Design a butterfly that Spot would like to find! You can make a real butterfly or make up your own new species! Butterflies will be turned in and featured in a Scavenger Hunt. Scavenger Hunt participants will cast votes for their favorite butterfly. Winners of the painting contest will be announced on February 27.

Sledding Days with Owlexander!
All ages
Come out and join us for sledding! Sign up for this program, and when we have snowfall, we will send out an email for which day(s) we will sled at Activity Center Park this winter. Owlexander will stop by for the fun! The exact dates for sledding are weather-dependent, and meet-up days will be emailed out when the required weather conditions are available.
Yoga in the Park C
Ages 18 and up

Method Studio’s Megan Lees leads these yoga classes for all levels. Classes include warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation.

Relaxation & Painting
Ages 16 and up
Connect with your creative side! Join Kristin Bailey from Purple Paintbrush, LLC for an evening of R&P — Relaxation and Painting! Come in your relaxing attire (that can get messy) and pick a project. Enjoy light refreshments, a holiday movie and the winter scenery! Choose between a few mug options or a vintage tree night light!

A Walk in the Park

These are self-guided walks around your community parks! Enjoy reduced stress, improved quality of sleep and the many benefits from an improved quality of life. It will be A Walk in the Park!

Winter Crafting Club
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, December 5, January 2 & February 6
We will meet once a month to work on our never-ending pile of projects and enjoy time together. Bring that half-finished cross stitch, that diamond painting kit you’ve been looking at for months, that never-ending quilting project or your favorite knitting needles and get cozy. Light refreshments will be provided.

Hike For Your Health
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, December 6 – February 28
Staff and volunteers will lead groups for different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Let’s Meet Up
All ages
Meet other parents/caregivers and their children. Stop by the Kennard Nature Nook for a snack. Then, explore the nature play area and trails during this casual meet-up! Staff will have one activity planned for each session that children can participate in before or after unstructured playtime. The meet-up will not be held in inclement weather, check cwpd.org for updates. This is not a drop-off program; parents/caregivers are required to stay with their children.

Amazing Athletes at the Park A
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, December 6 – January 17

This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. Sign up for both sessions and receive an Amazing Athletes t-shirt! This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Fitness Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, December 6 – January 10
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Kid's Glass Fusing: Penguin Ornaments C
Ages 6 – 10 with adult companion
Children will use their creativity to make two penguin ornaments! Kathy Woodruff will assist the children and parents, guardians or grandparents as they work together on this unique project. Please register each child attending.

Needle Felting: Snowflakes
Ages 16 and up
This class is designed for all skill levels, providing as much or as little assistance as you would like. We will be felting snowflakes, which can be displayed in a number of ways for the winter season.

Preschool Nature Series: Glow Code
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
There are so many things to do in the dark! Your leaders have a challenge for you! Can you find the secret glow codes along our hiking path? While searching for clues, we will talk about animals that make their own light. The session of PNS takes place mostly outdoors.

Glass Fusing: Winter Ornaments
Ages 16 and up
Exercise your creative side while making new holiday presents or decorations. Instructor Kathy Woodruff will lead the class in creating a variety of fused glass ornaments. This class includes three ornaments with plenty of styles and options to choose from.

Intergenerational Series: Grand Gifts
