Grassman vs Crosswick Snake Hide ‘n’ Seek Trail

Crosswick Snake has challenged Grassman to a game of Hide and Seek at Bill Yeck Park. Join us on this fun scavenger hunt that features characters from Cryptids Together, a comic by professional cartoonist Steve Stegelin that is showcased in the locally-produced comic book series Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities.

Scan QR codes along the hike route to cast your vote and enter the raffle for a chance to win one of three baskets filed with monster prizes. All ages.

Join Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush LLC for a jolly Halloween-themed storytime and pottery painting! Children will paint a silly jack-o-lantern with same-day paint and get a battery-powered tea light to let it glow! While the pottery is drying, Kristin will read a fun Halloween-themed story. Ages 2 – 5 with adult companion.

Intro to American Sign Language

Community Services for the Deaf will teach a basic introduction to American Sign Language (ASL) class in the serene Smith House garden. The class will cover the ABCs, numbers, a few simple sayings and nature-related signs as well as information about Deaf culture. Ages 12 and up.

Hit the trail with us! These exploratory hikes foster curiosity and confidence in young children. Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. This hike is on a natural path. This is a Tools to Trek program. Ages 0 – 4 years with adult companion.

Bird watching and identification is a fascinating subject. You will walk away with a greater knowledge of birds and their role in the ecosystem. Club activities are based on participant feedback, so you direct the focus of the study. A light snack is included. Ages 12 – 17.

Glass Fusing: Scenic Fall Trees

The Journal on Active Aging’s 20th Annual Active Aging Spirit Week is October 3 – 9. Let’s celebrate an active lifestyle with a hike through Bill Yeck and Forest Field Parks! Staff and volunteers will guide you through the park. Ages 50 and up (families welcome to join).

Celebrate fall with Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees! Enjoy some downtime next to the warm and cozy fire. This outdoor yoga class will include warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation around the campfire. Class will be held near the Bill Yeck Park fire circle. Ages 18 and up.
