We will complete crafts with sensory themes and take short hikes in the park! This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking. Strollers are not recommended at parks with natural terrain. Trail Trekking Evening Skill Sessions
Ages 18 and up
Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to focus on refining a particular skill for each session.

Hike with a Naturalist
Ages 18 and up
Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Butterfly Survey May
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Watercolor Cactus Class
Ages 18 and up
Let’s warm things up! In this workshop, we are going to create loose watercolor paintings focusing on expressive brushwork and vibrant colors. Leave the class with your finished painting. Studio materials are provided to use while in the class.

Bike Centerville Community Ride B
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library. Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Painting in the Landscape
Ages 16 and up
Join Kristin Bailey from Purple Paintbrush LLC for a relaxing evening overlooking the meadow. No painting experience is required. This class is an enjoyable way to learn some color theory, basic drawing and observational painting with helpful tips and guidance!

Birdwatching 101
Ages 14 and up
Learn tips and tricks for starting your birdwatching journey. We will start indoors with a chat about best practices and helpful information. Then we will head outside to learn common summer birds at Bill Yeck Park. Please dress to be outside. Bring binoculars if you have them. A limited supply will be available to borrow.

Fantastical Creations Art Design
Ages 8 – 11
Monday – Wednesday, June 3 – 5
We will draw inspiration from nature, life, fantasy, and stories to bring our art to life! From dragon eggs, canvas painting, polymer clay creatures holding crystal treasures, kiln fire clay, pottery painting and more, this specialty art program would be great for young artists who enjoy fantasy! Kristin Bailey from Purple Paintbrush LLC will lead participants through these fun skill-building sessions.

Camp WILD Child Week 1

Join the teachers of WILD Child Nature Preschool for a week of Wonder, Investigation, Learning and Discovery! This memorable week of camp will include unstructured nature play, creek romping and more! Camp held outdoors in all safe weather conditions! Remember to dress for the mess and prepare to be outdoors, rain or shine! Campers will need to bring a small hiking backpack, reusable water bottle, and healthy snack. All campers will receive a WILD Child camp shirt.

Recreation Day Camp (RDC) offers a variety of recreation activities, sports, games, arts and crafts, guest speakers and more! All RDC sites are led by trained recreation leaders. This fun program keeps children outdoors and active all week!
