Teen Friday Fun Nights: End of Summer Party
Join us for a final game night with a variety of snacks and everyone’s favorite games and activities. Ages 12 – 15.

Wonderful Water! Fun Run
A fun run all about one of our favorite aspects of summer–water! Visit all the stations with a wide variety of water-filled activities, and learn a bit about water in nature along the way! This will be a one-mile course with a 100-meter dash option for ages 6 and under. This event is sponsored by Dayton Children’s Hospital. All ages.

Friends & Family Hike: National Friendship Day
Hang out with your besties on a nature hike through beautiful Bill Yeck Park! Staff and volunteers will guide you through the park, which makes this hike perfect for those just getting acquainted with the park, and those who have been hiking there for years. All ages.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All ages.

Old-Fashioned Family Picnic & Fun
Join Centerville-Washington History and the Park District for a relaxing wrap up to a spectacular summer. Drop in anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. with your picnic. After eating, join in a ball game, a nature hike, and learn some new, old-fashioned games/activities. This is a Tools to Trek program. All ages.

National Dog Day!
Let’s Pawty! Join us for an evening of spoiling your dogs with fun activities, a photo booth, giveaways and a puppachino bar. We will be collecting donations for SICSA, a pet adoption and wellness center in our community. Check our Facebook event or contact us for specific wish list needs. All ages.
Movie Party in the Park: Inside Out
Join us for a movie, short nature hikes, calming crafts, family field games and much more! Bring a picnic blanket dinner, or have the professionals from Claybourne Grill food truck cook for you. At sunset, we will gather around the big screen for a showing of Inside Out! All ages.

Sunday Sundaes
Celebrate Ice Cream Day with a sundae at the Smith House! Enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon with yard games and a guided hike. Bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chair. All ages.

Nature Design Challenges
All engineers on deck! Meet us at the park for a fun-filled afternoon of science and engineering using materials from nature! Participants will get to plan, build and test their designs for the surprise STEM challenge of the day! Ages 7 – 13.

Let’s Meet Up: Forest Field
Enjoy fresh air and nature playtime. Meet other parents/caregivers and their children. Stop by the shelter for a free snack. Then, explore the playground, nature play area and trails during this casual meet-up! Staff will have one activity planned for each session. All ages.

Fairy and Gnome Home Festival
Celebrate your child’s imagination and creativity. Build a fairy and gnome home out of natural materials for our woodland residents. Other activities will include a storytime, a scavenger hunt and a craft! All ages.

Ales & Tails
Calling all dogs and dog lovers! Grab a beer from Loose Ends Brewery, participate in fun dog-themed activities and check out local pet services! Food will be available for purchase from a food truck. Beer wristband sales will benefit the SICSA. All ages. Must be 21 and show valid ID to purchase a beer wristband.
The Any Time Fun Run

A fun run to fit your schedule! Signs along the fun run route feature fun and unique ways to stay active and get moving! The route is one mile using the Forest Field Park green trail.
