Empowering Outdoors: Coffee and Conversation

Thursday, May 2, 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

Ages 18 and up

6 – 7 pm: Coffee and Conversation
7 – 7:30 pm: Hike

This session’s conversation is an overview of trail safety on hikes of any length led by Erin Compaleo, Assistant Director of Outdoor Recreation at Wright State University. It will include a basic self-defense overview.

The hike is one mile total, an easy-paced out-and-back hike. There is a 1/4-mile paved walk option as well.

All women are welcome to attend these donation-based events. Donations of gently used camping gear are greatly appreciated to connect women from difficult life situations with the joys of outdoor recreation and the supportive community that comes with it.

Hope Wanders was born out of a deep commitment to helping survivors of abuse reclaim their lives and discover the strength within themselves. Jessica Urton, the founder, envisioned a sanctuary where women could find solace, courage, and community in the great outdoors.
