About the Park

Elizabeth Hoy Park is an open green space with a small concrete whale climber. It is adjacent to the Activity Center Park.

History

Elizabeth Hoy was a charter member of the Centerville Historical Society and co-founder of the Historic Preservation District. Elizabeth belonged to the Garden Club and the Dayton Bach Society. She served as an Elder with the Southminster Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the Ohio Women’s Republican Party. The City of Centerville dedicated the park in her name in 1973 to honor her for her many contributions. The park was transferred from the City to the Park District in 1979.
