Canvas Painting and Storytime: Cheerful Pumpkins
Ages 3 – 6 with adult companion
Children will create a unique pumpkin design on canvas and enjoy a silly pumpkin story during this fun evening with Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush.

Halloween Hop & Howl
All ages
Put on your Halloween best and join us for a festive stroll for preschoolers and their families around the park. Themed signs will be placed along the path to get kids moving and grooving as they collect goodies at various stations. Families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the Halloween spirit. The first 100 participants will receive tickets for free Kona Ice, sponsored by Tammy Zell of the Sasser Group/KW Advisors Realty! Note: Kona Ice is weather dependent. This is a “teal pumpkin” event — all treats will be allergy-friendly. Please bring your own bag to collect treats!
This event is in partnership with the South Metro Optimist Club of Centerville.

Butterfly Survey
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain.

Bike Centerville Community Ride
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.

Dance Fitness with Emily
Ages 18 and up
This class is a total body workout designed to bring people (like you!) together through music and dance. We dance to various styles of music (Latin, hip hop, pop, global rhythms, etc.) which provides a good mix of low to high-intensity moves. Instructor Emily Chandler strives to make this class high-energy and a lot of fun! Please bring a bottle of water.

Hike with a Naturalist

Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Come and make a creepy craft with us! This beginner-friendly embroidery program will cover the basic stitches each participant will use to create their own piece of Halloween embroidery. All supplies will be provided, and no previous experience is needed to enjoy this spooky stitching program.

Learn about the history and features of your neighborhood parks. Meet your neighbors and enjoy light refreshments. Attend as many or as few sessions as you would like!

Family Mystery Night
Ages 8 and up
Owlexander hit the trails for an afternoon hike. While taking in the beautiful changing colors along the trail, he lost his keys! It’s Friday the 13th, so weird things are happening in the parks. Team up with your friends and family to see if you can solve the mystery. Get Owlexander’s keys back to him before dark! S’mores will be available following the program. One registration per group.

Spooky Stories with the Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities
Recommended for ages 10 and up (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
The Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities is a comic anthology featuring ghost stories and cryptid accounts from the area. Join Kat Klockow for a storytelling session! Popcorn will be provided! Comic books will be available for purchase.
