Pickleball League Women’s Doubles Beginner A
Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this summer! Several levels of play allow opportunities for all abilities. All leagues are 5 weeks long. Ages 18 and up.

Nerf Battle Games A
It’s an all-out battle on the field! Dodgeball and capture the flag style games will take place on the Schoolhouse game field. The field will be loaded with a variety of obstacles to dodge and duck! All Nerf foam darts will be provided, but participants must bring their own Nerf gun labeled with their name. Ages 9 – 13.

Join a Park District tennis league and play tennis in the parks this spring! Several levels of play allow opportunities for all abilities. All leagues are 10 weeks long. Ages 18 and up.

Teen Fort Building
Cut down invasive honeysuckle and use it to make forts – as elaborate as possible! After the forts are built, we will use them for a big game of capture the flag. Cool down at the end with a frozen treat! Ages 11 – 14.

Designing with Local Flora
Join local florist and owner of IVY to create a floral arrangement made with flowers from local farms. Go home with your masterpiece and the know-how to make more at home! Ages 16 and up.

Neighborhood Yoga B: Vinyasa Flow
Exploring various yoga styles is as easy as walking down to your neighborhood park. Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Ages 18 and up.

Intergenerational Series: Wind Chimes
Wind chimes are the perfect addition to your home, especially when they are made by kids! Each family will select from a variety of cutouts to design and paint their own wind chime to take home. After making wind chimes, we will enjoy a story at the shelter and time to play on the playground. Ages 3 – 6 with grandparent(s).

Forest Recharge! B
Are you ready to slow down and recharge? Be immersed in the sensory experiences provided by the forest. Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Christina Willis will lead activities designed to help you tune in and observe the nature around you. Let’s reset and recharge! Ages 18 and up.

Evening Glow Photography
Try your hand at an exciting new art form that combines photography and drawing — light painting! Have fun making art while enjoying the ambiance of a calm sunset, flutters of fireflies and a crackling fire. All equipment including flashlights, glow sticks, glow orbs and a camera are provided. Ages 13 – 16.

Sunday Sundaes
Celebrate Ice Cream Day with a sundae at the Smith House! Enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon with yard games and a guided hike. Bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chair. All ages.
Registration is not required, but registered participants will receive reminder and/or cancellation emails.
Summer Adult Archery
We will learn the basics of NASP competition-style archery and put the skills learned to practice. Participants will compete against each other in friendly competition. All equipment is provided. Ages 15 and up.
