Subject: Blades of Glory Lawn Care Class

WASHINGTON TWP, OH: A soil test takes the guesswork out of lawn care, giving you precise measurements of pH as well as quantity and availability of nutrients like potassium and phosphorus. In a two-part special class from the Centerville-Washington Park District, experts from The Ohio State University Extension office will teach homeowners how to test their soil for optimum lawn health. Additionally, participants will learn about many other maintenance tips, such as mow height, care timelines, aerating, over-seeding and environmental stewardship.

In the first class on Saturday, September 10, participants take home a soil test kit and return it to the Park District. During the second class Saturday, September 24 test results will be reviewed to give each participant a plan for fall lawn care! The class is $20 for Centerville/Washington Township residents and $26 for nonresidents and will take place at Bill Yeck Park, 2230 E. Centerville Station Rd. Visit www.cwpd.org or call 937-433-5155 to sign up. Registration deadline is Friday, September 2.
