History
Woodbourne Springs Park is located on land once owned
by Everett Hole, great-grandson of Dr. John Hole for
which the school is named. Everett was the last member
of the Hole family to own property in Washington
Township.
The park property was originally purchased jointly by the Park District
and Montgomery County with funding from the United States Department of the
Interior Bureau of Outdoor Recreation paying the Park District share.
Montgomery County later transferred its partial ownership to the Park
District.
