Nutrition Tip of the Month

Dried Fruits - A Winter Alternative

Dried fruits offer many of the same benefits as fresh, especially disease-fighting antioxidants and fiber. Add dried fruits to breads, cereals, and grain dishes. They also make a convenient snack by themselves. Dried figs and plums contain the most antioxidants; cherries, berries, peaches, and apricots are also good sources. All are high in calories, however, so be careful not to overindulge.
