Nutrition Tip of the Month

How Long for Leftovers

Play it safe by tossing out leftover beef and pork within four days of cooking and leftover chicken and turkey after two days. Gravy and stuffing should be discarded after two days as well. Reheat solid leftovers to a temperature of 165°F and liquid leftovers to a rolling boil.

The number one way to guard against food poisoning is to wash your hands with warm soap and water for at least 20 seconds before, between, and after handling any foods.
