Parent Tips for Healthy Kids

Handwashing Awareness

Teach your kids not to put their finger in their eyes, nose, or mouth and to wash their hands with soap and hot water several times a day, and always after using the bathroom and before eating. Regular soap is just fine. Antibacterial soaps do not kill the viruses that cause colds and flu and may contribute to the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are another good way to stop cold and flu germs. For more information, visit www.henrythehand.com.
